The Learning Environment
Online learning has enabled students everywhere to satisfy their educational needs. It is not only convenient and flexible, but it also provides additional opportunities for better learning. Online learning also provides tools such as multimedia and graphics to enhance learning and improve understanding.
Our learning environment at Utah International School uses an advanced online learning platform, electronic whiteboards, digital animations, online labs, threaded discussion groups, chat, and email to provide effective and personalized tuition.
Students meet in virtual classrooms, converse with the teacher and classmates and give online presentations of their work.
Online classes are small and students are given individual attention as well as
prompt feedback on tests and assignments.
Homework and coursework are an integral part of most courses and are given in a way to consolidate learning and to encourage self discipline and methodical approach to studying.
The Technology Infrastructure
The technology infrastructure of the learning systems at Utah International School consists of four main parts:
1. The student management system:

The student management system houses all the data that allows the school administration to enroll students and follow their progress. It also provides mechanisms whereby the school administration can observe, evaluate, and support the instructional staff and teachers to monitor and track students who are proceeding at different pace through their courses and take appropriate action.
2.The School Instruction Systems
The school strongly believes in encouraging its students to participate in their own learning as it enables knowledge to be more effectively acquired. Students at UIS progress through the learning platforms and the online classroom.
1.The Learning platforms:

This type of learning is flexible as students learn in their own time and at their own pace. This type of learning also offers students the opportunity to think and time to reflect over ideas, check references and take time to prepare a reply, rather than having to react instantly, which results in better and deeper understanding.
The interface is friendly and UIS orientation courses and dedicated support will ensure that students find the various school facilities and learning resources easy to use.
The learning platform exposes the student to the learning material in a clear and effective learning environment. Students can control the pace of the learning, evaluate their understanding by taking quizzes on what they have earned and have access to multi media learning content. Instructors have created for this platform both linear and non-linear learning sequences and organized hierarchically by course, lesson, or topic.
The school also uses an advanced learning platform for the complex and more difficult parts of its online learning teaching. This platform has been developed specifically as an effective and intelligent web-based learning tool as it provides students with a range of options while giving them control over their own learning routes.
2. The Classroom:
The online classroom interface has a complete set of features for highly interactive and effective group learning, bringing together voice, video, data and graphics in a structured online learning environment. It makes it possible for participants to effectively contribute in real-time to a common visual working space. It enables students to draw on the whiteboard, type text or paste images where each participant sees the same end result.
The classroom offers support for rich, Multi-media varied session content and enables access to files and offline learning material.
The students can work together and exchange ideas by having the images they create on their computer displayed for everyone to see and the instructor can use the whiteboard to illustrate a lesson, provide explanations, and have open discussions in a fully interactive and flexible environment.
The classroom offers:
